WELCOME TO THE OREGON ASTROLOGICAL ASSOCIATION
The O.A.A. is a regional association of professional, non-professional and student astrologers serving the astrological community in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Each year from September through June, we offer a series of quality lectures and workshops given by well-known professionals, practitioners, and educators. Members are also invited to a number of social events during the year to promote camaraderie and community. We welcome all those interested in the study of astrology and look forward to seeing you at the meetings and lectures.PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Happy Spring 2008! Much of the focus of current news in the United States concerns the excitement of the upcoming presidential race. The party conventions will be held in August and early September and the national election the first week of November. Given the tenor of the campaigning the outcome will surely be extremely important to the future of the U.S. But now is also the time to address some world issues from an astrological perspective. The time is right to look at China and the situation in Tibet. Although many of us consider Tibet to be a land unto itself, as far as the Chinese government is concerned, it remains a province of China. Tibet's push to regain its independence has led to violence and embarrassment for the Chinese government, especially as the time for the Summer Olympics in Beijing approaches. The OAA looks forward to Rick Levine, Dr. Tarnas and our Spring social gathering as we prepare to end this year's activities.
